And now with iOS 12, you can take advantage of Google Maps and Waze while navigating through the city. You'll be able to use the best features from both apps like getting the quickest rerouting that will save your time (Waze) or using the navigation even if you're offline (Google Maps).

Switch between the iDrive and CarPlay interfaces effortlessly and operate both with the iDrive controller.

CarPlay functionality is offered from the factory in many of the latest BMWs. Now, you can activate CarPlay in your existing vehicle thanks to our quick and easy remote process — we'll send you an activation file to save to a USB stick, and you'll only need to plug it into your BMW to unlock CarPlay.

Requires an NBT Evo ID5/ID6 head unit and WiFi antenna. Contact a Kies customer service representative to check compatibility with your vehicle.
